Royal Gold Reports Higher Q4 Silver Sales

Royal Gold shares were almost 2% higher Monday after the precious metals company said its wholly-owned RGLD Gold unit sold 374,000 ounces of silver and 52,000 gold ounces in Q4, compared to 208,900 ounces and 52,500 ounces, respectively in the same quarter last year.

The average realized gold price was $1,259 per ounce, up slightly from $1,257 per ounce a year earlier. The average realized silver price was $17.32 per ounce. The company did not provide an average silver price for the year-ago quarter. The company also reported Q4 copper sales of 1,165 metric tonnes at an average price of $5,671 per metric tonne. Royal Gold noted it had about 14,000 gold ounces and 537,000 silver ounces in inventory as of June 30.
